About

Welcome to the vibrant world of Julie Silvers, where each piece of art is a celebration of life, joy, and beauty. Julie’s work, whether it be her sculptures, vessels, totems, or paintings, is designed to bring happiness to those who experience it. Her creations are bold, bright, colorful, and uniquely imperfect, crafted to stand out and bring a sense of playful energy to any space. Each piece is meticulously handmade, ensuring no two are alike, reflecting Julie’s dedication to originality and artistic expression.

PAINTINGS

Julie Silvers’ paintings are a joyful explosion of color and emotion. Influenced by the bold aesthetics of the 80s and inspired by artists like Andy Warhol and Basquiat, her work embodies a big, bright, and happy energy. Each painting is layered with symbols, texture, and repetition, crafted from the heart with a desire to enliven the viewer’s senses. Julie pours her feelings, inspirations, hopes, and dreams into her art, creating pieces that are welcoming, inviting, and joyous. Her goal is to spark a smile and bring viewers to a happy place, even if just for a moment.

CERAMICS

Julie’s ceramic work, including totems, candle sticks, and vessels, is where her journey began over 30 years ago. Each piece is hand-built using coils, making every creation one-of-a-kind. Her totems are worldly and architectural, constructed from multiple shapes that fit together like a puzzle. These larger pieces are physically demanding to create, requiring careful balance and synchronization, yet they allow Julie to work freely and expansively. Her vessels are crafted with patience and peace, embodying a natural tranquility that flows from her hands to the clay. The uniqueness of each piece reflects Julie’s instinctual and meditative approach to her art.

GODDESSES

The Goddesses series holds a special place in Julie’s heart. These sculptures are a tribute to the strength, fragility, and beauty of women, representing freedom, uninhibited spirit, and pride. Hand-built with coils and often balancing on one leg, each Goddess is a labor of love, crafted with immense care and attention to detail. Julie’s Goddesses are authentic and bold, with their arms raised in triumph, embodying determination and satisfaction. They are a celebration of womanhood, acceptance, joy, and the power of individuality.
